Vu1 names new CEO
Low energy lights company Vu1 has announced the appointment of Dr Scott Blackstone as its new chief executive.
The industry veteran replaces Philip Styles as the head of the energy saving bulbs company, who moves on to helm the company's new product development arm in the Czech Republic.
"I have been following Vu1's progress and its unique, energy efficient, mercury-free ESL technology for some time now," commented Dr Blackstone.
"The market for energy efficient lighting alternatives is approaching a critical inflection point and Vu1 is well placed to capture the sizeable growth opportunity ahead. I am delighted to be a member of the Vu1 team at this exciting time and look forward to leading the Company."
With over 30 years of experience in the low energy light bulbs business, Dr Blackstone joins Vu1 to "refine and execute" the company's longer-term operating model and commercialisation strategy.
